A Charming Bed & Breakfast in the Lake Champlain Islands

The Dodds Brick House Bed and Breakfast is in an historic home built in 1843 located in the Village of North Hero, Vermont in the beautiful Lake Champlain Islands. The B&B has been completely remodeled keeping features such as exposed beams and wide plank pine floors. There are 3 guests rooms, each with a private bath, central air, mini fridges, Cable TV's, Wi-Fi and coffee makers. There is a large breakfast room with sliding glass doors to a patio with outdoor dining and comfortable seating.

The Dodds house is within walking distance of the Village of North Hero on the shores of Lake Champlain. Located in the Village are the General Store, The North Hero House Restaurant, the Post Office, the Library, the Courthouse, the Art Gallery, Back Chamber Antique Store, the Chamber of Commerce and the Methodist Church.

Room 1

Room 1 is located on the first floor of the Dodds Brick House. It features a queen size bed, loveseat and wing chair, gas fireplace, cable tv , mini-fridge, coffee maker and a private bath with a large, low threshold, walk in shower. The rate for this room is $250 per night plus 9% Vermont rooms & meals tax.

Room 2

Room 2 is located on the 2nd floor. It features a queen size bed, love seat, writing desk , TV, mini-fridge, coffee maker and a private bath with a jetted Jacuzzi tub. The nightly rate is $200 per night plus 9% Vermont rooms & meals tax.

Room 3 is on the 2nd floor. It features a queen size bed, mini-fridge, coffee maker, TV and a large private bath with a jetted Jacuzzi tub. The nightly rate is $200 per night plus 9% Vermont rooms & meals tax.

Story

Get to Know Us

The Dodds House was built in 1843 and has housed seven generations of the Dodds Family. The home was purchased in 2004 by Walter Blasberg and completely renovated at that time. Prior to the construction of the Brick House the family lived in a log cabin behind the home which is still in existence. Adjoining the log cabin is the former lean-to animal shelter. Next to the shelter is a new barn which replaced the original structure built in circa 1780-1810. Your hosts are Walt Blasberg, John Dewane and Aida Dewane.
